My hairbow hobby

So, once I got my little girl, I started making hairbows. They started simple and small when she was a baby. The older she gets, the bigger and more intricate they get.

This bow, I made and put it on a headband for her 2nd birthday dinner!

These little hairbows are korkers. Note the korkers I put on her flipflops to match.

The picture on the left is a bow holder with bows I made for Lily. Lexie has a smiliar one.

This was Camdyn's first bow holder. We filled it up almsot immediately.

This bow holder I made for my friend Laura's little girl.

This is Camdyn's second bow holder. It has 3 ribbons that hang down. It is currently full as well.

I know it's silly, but I just can't stop making bows. My Mom asked me what I'm going to do when she finally get some hair. I guess the bows will just get bigger!!

The boys camping trip

Bill, Logan, Bill's Dad (Eddie), along with Bill's cousin Ralph, his stepson, dad, and uncle all went trout fishing and camping in Tallulah, GA a couple weekends ago.

Jason, Ralph's stepson is just a few years older than Logan. So, you can see from the above picture, they had a blast.

The fish were not biting, so they spent more time hiking and goofing off than fishing.

The trip did not start out too well for Bill however. His truck broke down on the way. And, 15 hours and $300 later, it turned out to be a blown fuse. Needless to say, he was not too happy. In fact, I was on my way to pick them up when they figured out it was a fuse. So, the trip was back on. They salvaged what was left of the long weekend and did have a good time.

Busy Mom

The kids decided to dig a hole. They told Lucy to dig, and she did!!

I know, I am doing a terrible job at keeping up with this. I will do better. I guess that's part of being a busy Mom, wife, nurse, friend, daughter, etc....

Anyways, I do have several posts that I am working on. Bill and Logan are going trout fishing in North Georgia this weekend. 4 days and 3 nights. Baby Girl and I will be home alone. I am hoping I will have the opportunity to get alot done, alot I need to do and alot I want to do...

This past weekend, we had a blast enjoying this beautiful weather. Those family members in Northern Michigan with 7 feet of snow, eat your heart out!! It was almost 80 this weekend!! Bill and I rode the Harley for 8 hours on Saturday. We rode through Ellijay, Dahlonega (eating at The Smith House), Suches, Blue Ridge and back. I actually got sunburned!!

Sunday, we spent the day with family celebrating Lexie's 7th birthday. It is so hard to believe she is that old. The pics are from her party at Moms.

Be back soon!!

Potty training troubles

Note the crocs!!

Showing off her big girl panties!!

I never imagined Camdyn would be interested in the potty so early. At 17 months, she wanted to sit on the potty. For Christmas, we got her a pink princess potty. She loved it!! Three months later, she still loves to play with it. She has used it several times. She knows she gets one piece of candy as a reward, so when she's in the mood, she uses it.

My dilemma is that everytime I go, she wants to go. The problem?? She has to be totally naked. Sometimes she'll reapply an accessory...shoes, hairbow, hat. But that's it. Usually she just pretends to go, then wipes, and wants to flush. Then, she does not want to get dressed. She loves to run around the house naked. And, she does not get this from me!! She then has a meltdown when I make her get dressed.

I want to stay positive about potty training and encourage her to continue trying, but this is driving me nuts. I just hope she'll grow out of the naked thing. In the meantime please pray for my patience.

At the suggestion of my friend Mendy, I am joining the world of blogging. I am hoping this is an easy way for friends and family, especially those out of town, to keep up with our lives. The kids are growing up so fast, it blows my mind. Logan is more than halfway done with Kindergarden and Camdyn is learning to use the potty. I am so fortunate to have such awesome kids!!

Bill and I are coming up on our 10 year anniversary. It's hard to believe that I am old enough to be married that long. We are both working really hard to get out of debt so we can build a bigger house.

Feel free to post comments...
